If you are looking for a unique tea, then knitted tea is a real miracle. Each ball seems simple at first glance, but there is incredible magic hidden in it. Drinking such tea is a real pleasure that reminds of the beauty of sunsets, dawns and first love.

When you brew this tea, it blooms in the water like a living flower, mesmerizing with its colorful aroma and unparalleled taste.

Blooming tea has many names, depending on region and tradition. It can be knitted, blooming, twisted or tea in buds. Regardless of the name, its main feature is a beautiful visual presentation. Such tea is made by wrapping dry buds with tea leaves, which are then tied with a thread. Predominantly tied tea is made from green varieties, as they have great flexibility. During brewing, dry buds turn into wonderful flower compositions, giving not only taste impressions, but also visual pleasure.

The blossoming history of tea begins in China. Its exact origins remain a mystery, but the tradition is believed to have existed for hundreds of years. According to one version, such tea was made back in the Song Dynasty. Today, knitted tea is becoming more and more popular, attracting the attention and admiration of tea connoisseurs around the world. It is made by hand by craftsmen in several Chinese provinces, where each composition is created with special attention and skill. It is a true art that combines beauty, aroma and taste, able to transport you to the world of charm and magic of Chinese tea culture.

Chinese knitted tea is a work of art created in four provinces of China: Yunnan, Fujian, Hunan and Sichuan. This unique type of tea is made exclusively by hand, where each composition requires about 10 minutes of work from the master, as well as great attention and skill.

The process of creating related tea includes several stages:

  1. The tea leaves are harvested during the rainy season to ensure maximum flexibility of the leaves.
  2. On the same day, the leaves are dried, fermented, twisted and heated in an oven at a temperature of 110°C.
  3. Various flowers such as jasmine, clover, chrysanthemum, osmanthus, lily, calendula, lychee, lavender, amaranth, hibiscus are used to create tea that opens.
  4. Tea knitters sort the leaves into blanks of the same length, forming bundles, in the center of which dried buds are placed and tied with a thread, creating a finished composition.
  5. Each tea figurine is wrapped in a cloth and sent to the oven to fix the shape.

In one day, a knitter can produce up to 2.5 kilograms of tea. It is important that each composition has the same size and weight, usually between 6 and 10 grams, but the shapes can vary. This process of creating tea is a true skill, combining traditional techniques with unique visual effects.

Chinese knitted tea comes in many unique forms, each of which has its own unique meaning and symbolism. Including:

  • Layer: Often used to create a romantic mood, symbolizing love. Masters skillfully fasten buds, demonstrating an infinite number of spherical combinations.
  • Barrel, Heart, Ring, Basket, Star: Each shape has its own characteristics and aesthetic characteristics that add a special charm to tea.
  • Figures of animals and mythical creatures such as the dragon: These complex and graceful forms show the high skill and creative approach of the craftsmen.

These teas not only impress with their form, but also bear names that reflect their essence and aroma, such as "Sunrise", "Love Story", "Muse Rose". They are created from high-quality raw materials, with delicate tips and fragrant flowers, and each step in their manufacture requires patience and attention.

Knitted Chinese tea is a real miracle that can be brewed alone or combined into various compositions. Each brew opens new visual and taste sides, creating a unique experience.

Here you will find about ten varieties of these wonderful teas, which can be bought individually. Each ball can be brewed up to five times, so it is ideal for tasting with friends or family. Try, compare, choose your favorite and enjoy every moment of this incredible tea ritual.

The knitted tea that you can buy is a real work of art that gives pleasure and promotes health. In the context of the fascination with Chinese tea culture, this type of tea became popular among European aesthetes, including Kyiv. In China, it is traditionally brewed for holidays and celebratory events, and it is considered a great gift due to its uniqueness, beauty and benefits.

This small masterpiece of tea culture combines the beneficial properties of natural tea and the aroma of flowers. The green tea used for bound tea contains a rich spectrum of vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, polyphenols, catechins and trace elements, which are preserved due to weak fermentation. All these useful substances get into your cup of tea, offering not only the pleasure of taste, but also supporting health.

Useful properties of bound tea include:

  • Strengthening immunity: helps the body to resist diseases more effectively.
  • Detoxification of the body: promotes the removal of toxins and waste products.
  • Improves digestion: stimulates the digestive system.
  • Strengthening the walls of blood vessels: contributes to the health of the cardiovascular system.
  • Slowing down aging processes: helps preserve the youth of the skin and body.
  • Promoting weight loss: accelerates metabolism and fat burning.

Thus, knitted tea is not only a treat for the eyes and the sense of smell, but also a useful addition to your diet, contributing to a healthy lifestyle.

Most of the knitted tea belongs to the red type.

Chinese red tea is known for its variety and distinct varieties, each of which has a unique leaf shape and its own production traditions. High-quality varieties are often characterized by flagella-like leaves and a rich dark brown shade. Known varieties as:

  • Lapsang Suchong (Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong);
  • Jin Jun Mei (Golden Eyebrows);
  • Dian Hong;
  • Kimun (Tsymen).

They differ in the place of cultivation, raw materials and specifics of processing, giving each variety individuality and character.

Chinese red tea is distinguished by its unique quality and taste characteristics:

  1. Tea raw materials often have a rich reddish-brown color.
  2. The brewed drink pleases the eye with its deep red-brown color and distinct aroma with spicy notes.
  3. The taste profile of red tea has pronounced sweetness, velvety smoothness and the presence of a unique aftertaste that makes each cup special.

Red tea, known for its unique properties, is suitable for consumption both in the morning and in the evening, changing the strength of the drink according to the time of day. A strong infusion taken at the beginning of the day energizes and uplifts the mood, while a lighter tea in the evening promotes relaxation and a good night's sleep.

This tea contains a number of beneficial components such as vitamins, amino acids, polyphenols and antioxidants. It contributes to the improvement of immunity, the health of the intestinal microflora, protects the gastrointestinal tract, strengthens bones, teeth and gums, stimulates hair growth, normalizes digestion and metabolism, supports the work of the heart and blood circulation, lowers cholesterol, improves memory and activates the brain activity and can also help recover from alcohol consumption.

However, red tea is not recommended for children due to its effect on metabolism and for individuals with iron deficiency, as it may interfere with its absorption. If you have high blood pressure, you should limit yourself to one cup a day.

As for storage, red tea should be kept in a cool, dry, dark place, in an opaque and airtight container, away from extraneous odors. The shelf life of such tea is about two years.

Brewing tied tea is not only a process of making a drink, but also a real ritual that allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of this unique tea. Here's how to properly brew bound tea:

  1. Choice of Utensils: Use a transparent glass infuser, a wide glass or a teapot (a special teapot with a button) to fully observe the process of opening the tea.
  2. Preparation of dishes: Pour boiling water over the selected dishes to heat them up. This will help to properly reveal the taste of tea.
  3. Placing the Tea: Place the chosen tea figure (ball, heart, pagoda, star, etc.) into the heated vessel.
  4. Brewing: Pour water with a temperature of 80-90°C. It is important that the water is not too hot, especially for green tea. Try not to damage the figure with a jet of water.
  5. Watch and Enjoy: Wait for the tea figure to fully unfold, which usually takes one to two minutes. Enjoy the unfolding process of the flower, watching each stage of its transformation.
  6. Repeated Brewing: The same tea figure can be brewed up to five times, each time receiving a new bouquet of flavors and aromas.
  7. Remember the Main Rule: Always brew bound tea in a transparent container to enjoy not only the taste, but also the visual beauty of the process.

Making tied tea is a great opportunity to forget about the hustle and bustle and enjoy moments of relaxation and pleasure. Brew, watch and enjoy this unique tea experience!
